The Mesa area is located in the heart of the Sonoran Desert which extends from Central Arizona into Northern Mexico. The Metro Phoenix area is surrounded by mountain ranges which create what we in Mesa call the valley of the sun.
The four main mountain ranges that circle the Metro Phoenix area are the McDowell Mountains to the northeast, the Superstitions to the east, the Estrella Mountains to the south,
and the White Tank mountains to the west.
There are 6 lakes within a drive of 1 1/2 hours from
Mesa area available for picnics, boating and fishing. There are,
on average, 300 sunny days each year in the Mesa Arizona Area,
which gives lots of opportunity for outdoor recreation.
